Step 1 - Preparing your application
Applications need to include work experience and qualifications that demonstrate you meet the selection criteria and contact details for two referees.

Step 3 - Your application will be reviewed
If applying for a position that is not currently being recruited for, your application will be held in a confidential file  for a period of twelve months, should an appropriate position become available in this period.

Step 4 - Interviews
After all applications have been reviewed, should your application be short listed, you will be invited to attend an interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Step 5 - Pre-employment medical
Applicants may be required to take a pre-employment medical.            

Step 6 - Reference checks
Reference checks will always be conducted prior to making an offer. Referees must be people who have previously supervised you in a professional or academic capacity.

Step 7 - The offer
If you are the successful candidate, we will proceed with a verbal offer, followed by a formal, written offer of employment requiring acceptance in writing.

Step 8 - Induction and orientation
On your commencement of work with the City of South Perth an induction will be conducted covering the City of South Perth’s values, purpose and safety policies followed by an orientation.
