2025/26 Christmas-New Year rubbish collection and opening hours

Opening hours for the City's Civic Centre and many other facilities will change during the Christmas-New Year period.

From freebies to paid events, our range of engaging activities have something to keep the whole family busy during the holidays.

Southside Summer 2026

28 Jan - 3 Feb 6pm: Come along to Mindeerup at South Perth Foreshore for free family fun activities, live entertainment and award-winning circus acts!

There will be no collections on 25 December and 1 January. Bins normally collected Thursday will be collected Friday, and Friday collections will shift to Saturday over the Christmas and New Year period.

Explore glittering decorations, festive lighting, and beautifully decorated homes and businesses across the City this month!

Extended weekday hours

Both South Perth and Manning Libraries are now open from 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
