COMMUNITY FUNDING PROGRAM
The City of South Perth
recognises the importance of supporting community development, and as
such, provides a wide range of sponsorship opportunities available to
incorporated community organisations and individuals through its
Community Funding Program.
The four categories available are:
1. Individual Development Program
Open to individuals who are residents of the City of
South Perth and have been selected to represent
the State or Nation in interstate or overseas championships and
competitions. This category will be open all year round (until
funds are expended) with a minimum four week lead up time.

2. Community Development Program
This category is open to incorporated non-profit community
organisations whose proposed projects are beneficial
to the City
of South Perth community.
Funding through the Community Development Program for the 2008/2009
financial year will be available in two rounds, with closing dates as
follows:
Round One: Applications for projects starting
between 1 September 2008 and 31 January 2009, close at 4.00pm on the
FIRST Friday in June 2008.
Round Two: Applications for projects starting between 1 February 2009 and 31 July 2009 close at 4.00pm on FIRST Friday in November 2008.

3. Community Grants Program
This category provides for opportunities that cannot be supported
through the Community Funding Program. The City will assess these
opportunities as they arise.
The Community Grants Program is designed to provide a quick response
fund for minor projects that fall within the guidelines of the
Community Funding Program but cannot be completed successfully within
the time frame of the Community Funding Program rounds or submitted by
the specified closing dates

4. Student Scholarship Program
The Student Scholarship Program is to support and assist identified
young people who are residents of the City of South Perth to continue
with their studies in years eleven and twelve.
Funds for a limited number of scholarships will be made available
directly to participating schools at the beginning of each calendar
year. Participating schools agree to undertake the selection process
and administer scholarship expenses under the guidelines set out in
this document.
The Student Scholarship Program is aimed at supporting students who are
in need of financial support, have sound academic and achievement
backgrounds and who are involved in community, sporting or cultural
activities
Students will be invited to apply directly to their school for
scholarships in year eleven. Subject to satisfactory progress
recipients will remain on the scholarship program in year twelve.
Consideration may be given to year twelve students who were not year
eleven recipients subject to available funds.
