| Our Vision Ahead
In September 2008 the City of South Perth embarked on a community planning project, Our Vision Ahead, to identify the community’s future aspirations and priorities for the City. Our Vision Ahead involved consultation with residents, community groups, business, schools and visitors.
The outcome was the creation of a shared vision for the City and community. The findings were outlined in the Our Vision Ahead document.
Consultation was extensive and involved public workshops, focus groups, online surveys, survey hand-outs at City of South Perth events and a community conference. In all 1400 people participated in the project and 980 submissions were received.
The vision that emerged will be relevant to everyone in the City and create a more vibrant sense of community, engagement and belonging. The Visioning findings will play a key role in Council’s short and long term plans and initiatives, and provide invaluable direction for local community groups, business and individuals.
