Corporate Governance
The City’s Corporate Governance Framework assists members by linking the principles contained in the Local Government Act 1995 and the way the City of South Perth operates.
The framework provides guidance on the roles and functions of members and employees, corporate values, the code of conduct and meeting and reporting structures. It also provides an overview of all of our inter-related corporate documents. This helps ensure a harmonious and productive relationship between members and the administration.
The City’s Code of Conduct, adopted in March 2009, sets standards of behaviour for members and employees in their duties. The code is based on the City’s values of Excellence, Customer Focus, Trust and Respect, with the purpose of encouraging ethical behavior, to foster community confidence in the integrity of local government.
An Information Statement, updated annually, provides details about the history, demographics, government structure, administration and statutory responsibilities of the City of South Perth, as well as facts regarding freedom of information and schedules and forms.
