Community Safety
The City of South Perth believes that the fear and likelihood of crime is reduced through strengthening communities and improving neighbourly relations. The City supports a number of initiatives that reduce the fear of crime and increase community safety. Neighbourhood Watch
The City of South Perth supports a Neighbourhood Watch Program (NHW) in collaboration with a strong volunteer base and the local police. NHW groups hold regular meetings, engage guest speakers and distribute newsletters to all NHW members and interested residents. To register for the newsletter please contact your local suburb managers or the Community Development Officer on 9474 0777.

You can find out how to make your house or car more secure, or learn about other measures you can take in your own neighbourhood to make it a safer and more pleasant place to live.

Free Engraving Service
To assist the police in the identification of stolen goods, residents may borrow an engraver for no cost to identify their belongings. The engraver can be booked out from the City’s two libraries, or to make an alternate arrangement to have your goods engraved call the Community Development Officer on 9474 0777.
